Garlic Hummus
GARLIC HUMMUS
Ingredients:
Juice from a whole lemon
1/2 cup water
4 tbsp. tahini, stirred well
5 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil, plus extra for drizzling
1 (14 oz.) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2 garlic cloves, minced or pressed through garlic press
½ tsp. table salt
¼ tsp. ground cumin
pinch of cayenne pepper
Directions:
Put all the ingredients into a food processor but the chickpeas. Grin until well mixed. Add the chickpeas. Grin some more until all is fully incorporated. Add salt and pepper to taste, if needed.
Garnish with a drizzle of olive oil and sprinkle some paprika on top.
Serve with warm fresh Pita Bread and enjoy!
