I am a mother with two young children at home. One of my biggest challenges is to create exciting new dishes for my family each day. We love to try new ingredients or new combinations to make them fun and delicious. Let's cook together. It will be a fun ride. I promise!

Leche con Platano (Banana Milkshake)
One of the most traditional drinks we have in Chile is this milkshake, which everybody loves! It is very simple and it's especially good when you have those ripe bananas that you don't want to waste.
Get your blender ready!
Ingredients:
1 cup of milk
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream (optional)
1 ripe banana cut in chunks
Put everything in the blender and chop/mix until everything is well combined. Enjoy it!

yum! i think the milkshake is a pretty traditional american thing too, but sadly they are more likely to come from mcdonalds!
This looks great, I finally found something else to do with ripe bananas besides bread. Looks delicious.
this is so delicious! At school I am doing a projct on Chile and this is a great sample to give to my class!
so happy you enjoyed it! My mom made it for me when I was little all the time. It is a delicious chilean treat. You can also try the same mix but adding strawberries instead of bananas :)
I am also doing a project at school on the country of Chile. We have to make alot of samples so this looks like a pretty easy recipe.
Kenzy, you can also make the same recipe with strawberries. I promise you'll enjoy it!!
